FAQ

If you have a favourite spot, by all means let me know about it! If I’m unfamiliar, I can’t guarantee the location will work as well as others (angles of light, tides, colours etc all make a big difference) but I’m happy to discuss.
Minis are held at set locations. These change with the seasons but are in the central Auckland area.

I will be in touch the night before to check in and go over all the details and if it looks like rain for the session, we will discuss rescheduling.
Sundays are kept as backup days so that we can book you in again as soon as possible, otherwise you can choose a new date from any available that suit you.
-
You can definitely bring your dog if the location allows it! Just make sure they are well under control and not likely to be aggressive towards me.
I absolutely love dogs but will have to pull the plug on the shoot if there are safety concerns.

I’m more than happy to photograph the whole family but most packages are suited to immediate family only so please choose carefully.
If you opt to bring the extended family on the day, you will be accommodated but please be aware you will be invoiced for the appropriate package following the session.

Yes, I may be able to consider a cake smash if the location and date fit my schedule.

I have a small selection of decorative newborn bonnets, wraps, felted wool layers and baskets that may be used during newborn sessions so long as baby is settled enough and happy to wear them/be swaddled.

The best clothing choices are plain fabrics in neutral shades and muted colours with minimal detail.
Avoid black, stark white (choose cream instead) and super bright colours. Muted colours are great.
Avoid matching outfits and ensure everyone has a different colour/shade on their top half for effective layering and balance in the image.
I’m more than happy to discuss further to make sure you get it right!
-
I have a selection of gowns, robes and hats to borrow if you just need something a little extra (not available for minis).

Yes! You will have the chance to see a few images from your session in the days following your session. I may share them to my social media channels (an important way for me to showcase my work) which you are most welcome to tag and share.
If there is an issue with this please let me know before the shoot.

While I’m a huge fan of Photoshop, I will only apply enhancements where needed to improve the image as a whole.
Altering people’s appearance in pursuit of ‘perfection’ without prior discussion is not something I believe in, however please ask if you have specific concerns you’d like considered in post production.
-
Because of my tight schedule I am not currently accepting jobs out of the Auckland area.
